Perspective

It was a full day ahead with client meetings, prospecting, networking and speaking at an event. I had forgotten to turn on my ringer and was driving off to my first appointment when a call came through to my car. It was my husband – he was frantic. He had been trying to get a hold of me for 20 minutes. He had just had a major car accident on the busiest freeway in the area during rush hour. All of the sudden the day and world shifted. My perspective changed from hustling about the appointments of the day to realizing that life is precious and we had just been granted a miracle.

Accidents happen every day. We may take for granted that we make it through a day in safety. This particular day my wonderful husband’s life was spared as he side swiped a semi-truck and hit two other cars. It was a miracle that no one was hurt as there were maintenance workers on the side of the freeway changing equipment from one truck to another. This distraction on the side of the road took my husbands eye from being forward and when he looked away traffic had come to an almost standstill.

What is your perspective? Keeping your eyes forward will get you to your end goal. Keeping your mind and energy from distractions becomes a lifelong journey. Perspective can change and shift without notice. Are you happy with what your perspective is today? We each have the power to change our mind, world and energy. It is possible and imperative for each one of us to live the life we desire.

I am grateful for life and especially for the life of my loved ones. Thank you for being a part of my journey and sharing your perspective with me.
